The Veritech R&D Facility went on-line in
February of 2000. Since then it has grown and expanded its
operations. The first facility to go up was the Thyrian space
station, known as Veritech Industries. Her primary purpose was to
perform R&D experiments. Over time though, this facility became
the primary headquarters of the company. This large station was
purchased because it's massive size made more then enough space to perform
the task the station was meant for, and other stations didn't hold enough
space for the requirements to be met. The Station's location is
within the Tatooine system, near the planet itself but not in orbit with
Tatooine. To this day she is where all financial operations take
place as well as proposals for starships and various other activities not
covered in ship construction or maintenance. |

Shortly after the
Thyrian staion went on-line, so did the Advanced shipyard designated
Veritech Shipyards. The Facility was planning to build a wide
variety of ships and various sizes. Since the standerd shipyard
didn't have the capacity for building ships much larger then a strike
cruiser, the Advanced shipyard was purchased for this purpose.
Shortly after going on-line, the yard was ordered to begin construction of
the VC-10 Ulysses-class battlecruiser, and vrecently, the VC-11
Pelican-class Supercarrier. |

The
Veritech repair yard was purchased for the obvious resons, to repair any
ships they own that have occured damage for one reason or another.
both the shipyard and repair yard are both located at the Thyrian
station's position. All 3 of these stations make up the bulk of the
Veritech R&D facility and have served the company well. |

Presently,
the Merimack Scout ship is the only ship the Veritech R&D facility
owns. This ship was aquired in the year 2001, and all other ships in use
by the company are leased by various companies for temporary use.
The Merimack's job is to seek out areas of space for mining materials
suitable for starship construction. Once found, Asteroid mining
units are deployed in the area, by larger ships. |

The
Vergeso Asteroid shipyards were found abondoned by the empire, shortly
after Endor by the Scout vessal, Merimack. Since the company that
originally owned it no longer existed, the Veritech R&D company took
possession of the shipyards, and deployed an automated asteroid defense
system around it in the early year of 2002. since then the Vergeso
asteroid shipyards has become the base of operation for the VC-20
Behemoth-class mega carrier's construction. A laser mine field was
set up around the construction zone of the Behemoth to prevent asteroid
colisions shortly after construction began. |

Shortly after
vergeso was maned and brought on-line, a large Asteroid threatened to
colide with the station. thanks to numerious utility vehicles, this
was prevented and it was placed a safe distance from the shipyard.
Shortly later this asteroid was heavily mined and built into a hanger
facility. Presently, this hanger is only know as Vergeso
2. |
